Inspired by the Holy Spirit, I began my journey to Spain, where the doctor who had discovered my son's diagnosis lived. This doctor had been in Quito, Ecuador, to attend a congress of nephrologists. He had examined my son and was sure that his problem was in the kidney, but in Quito they lacked the precise machinery to detect his condition. I left my city full of sadness and hope at the same time, leaving my family, but with the faith that my son would be saved.
Unfortunately, I could not make it to Spain, as during the flight my son took a turn for the worse and was burning with fever. Trembling, he lay in my arms like a dying man. Despite emergency help on the plane, everything seemed impossible. He had applied for a transit visa in New York to provide me with winter clothing and continue my trip to Spain three days later, where the doctor was waiting for him for surgery. However, circumstances forced us to stay in New York. During the trip, it seemed like my son was going to die.
Upon arriving in New York, an ambulance was waiting for my son to be rushed to Queens General Hospital. With an emergency, my son was admitted to intensive care. At one point, I saw him as a crucified man, with his yellowish face, it looked like he was going to die. After three days, I asked the specialized doctor in charge if he could continue the trip to Spain. He flatly told me: "He can't get out of here; if he went to Spain, he would die."
I was going to the right, but God was going to the left. My plans were not God's, since God is everywhere and performs wonders and wonders in his time. God wanted to use an excellent doctor to heal my son and save him from death. He also wanted to test me, like gold is tested in the furnace of suffering. When he fell, he picked me up, he picked me up with impetus and gave me the strength to continue fighting like a warrior. When He cried, He would comfort me and strengthen me, and then He would heal my wounds and release me from sadness in one breath. Afterwards, he filled me with joy, giving me courage and courage to resist and walk the painful path of my life without giving up. Fighting against all odds, his energy lifted me up strong and without giving up until I won the battle and saw his smile of God in my victory.
