《容斋随笔》为南宋洪迈(1123—1202)撰,分《随笔》、《续笔》、《三笔》、《四笔》、《五笔》,前四集各十六卷,《五笔》写至十卷,共七十四卷。洪迈字景卢,号容斋,鄱阳人。绍兴进士,历官端明殿学士。洪迈博学多闻,对经史百家,医卜星算,无不深究,凡有所得,随笔记之写成本书。《容斋随笔》容包罗甚广,资料丰富,凡经史百家,文学艺术及宋代掌故,人物评价均多涉笔,尤详于宋代典制。
Rong Zhai Sui Bi was written by Hong Mai (1123-1202) in the Southern Song Dynasty. It is divided into Sui Bi, Xu Bi, San Bi, Si Bi and Wu Bi. The first four volumes are 16 volumes each, and Wu Bi is written up to 10 volumes, totaling 74 volumes. Hong Mai, whose courtesy name is Jinglu and pseudonym is Rong Zhai, was from Poyang. He was a Jinshi in Shaoxing and served as a scholar in Duanming Palace. Hong Mai was well-read and studied the classics and history, medicine, divination, and astrology in depth. He wrote down everything he learned in his notebooks. Rong Zhai Sui Bi is very comprehensive and rich in information. It covers a lot of classics and history, literature and art, and stories of the Song Dynasty, as well as character evaluations, especially the system of the Song Dynasty.
