《夹竹桃集：周越然集外文》按照佚文的题材、体裁及发表情况，共分为三辑：第一辑，《文史杂记》，收录周越然在《小说月报》等刊物发表的文史随笔和几篇书序，合计37篇；第二辑，《<晶报>随笔》，收录作者在1933至1940年间发表于上海《晶报》的部分"游戏"文字共计257篇；第三辑，《修身小品》，收录作者在上海《新中国报》的《学艺》栏目连载的105篇说教、言志类短文及发表于《英语周刊》（English Weekly）的几篇英文随笔之译文。全书共计作品407篇。(According to the theme, style and publishment of lost-articles, Oleander Collections: Collections of Zhou Yueran, Foreign Language can be divided into 3 parts: the first part, Adversaria on Culture and History which collects essays on culture and history and forewords of several books published in Short Story Magazine, totally 37 articles; the second part, Essay in the Crystal which collects the author's partial "game" words published in the Crystal of Shanghai from 1933 to 1940, totally 257 articles; the third one, Vignettes for Self-cultivation which collects 105 short essays about sermons and ambition serialized in Learning Art column of New China News and translations of several English essays published in English Weekly, totally 407 articles. )
